When you are training staff or volunteers, do you find yourself saying the same thing over and over? Instead of repeating yourself, make a video! Topics might include: lawnmower care, running and cleaning the dishwasher, handling overflow parking, etc.

1. Use a digital camera that can take video.
2. If people are included, obtain written releases.
3. Distribute: using a CD, the hard drive of a public computer, or upload on YouTube as a private video.
4. Make sure you keep your original video in a safe location, in case you need to make another copy.

As an alternative idea, after you have trained staff, ask them to make the video. Making the video will reinforce what they have learned!
