I recently visited beautiful Cal-Wood Education Center and they have well-constructed ramps to the cabin and lodge for ADA accessibility.

But the really cool thing is that the ramps are a grate. Mud, dirt, and snow falls from boots and tires on the way into the buildings – which decreases cleaning and decreases the wear of the floors. Plus the grate is slip-resistant, giving traction with ice and snow.
