When was the last time you went undercover at your site? Pack a suitcase and stay overnight at your retreat or conference center.

By experiencing things first hand, you might pick up a few things that would make things more convenient or nicer for your guests.

While staying overnight, you might notice an awkward location of a towel rack. Or you might notice that there’s no convenient location to charge your cell phone. Or maybe you’ll become aware of different nighttime sounds or smells. On the other hand, a stay can be a positive affirmation about the work that was recently done.

In addition to personally visiting the site, you might consider asking members of your staff to stay overnight. It might give some fresh perspectives to discuss at a staff meeting.
