Some folks may quietly whisper their opinions and ideas about your property, while others will be very vocal. All perspectives are important to capture. Continuous input gives you ideas for updating the facilities, changes to consider, and affirmation of the direction you are going.
Pull out what question(s) you already have in place and see if they are giving you the information you need. You could look at maintenance requests; camper, parent and/or guest evaluations; user group checkout forms; etc.
You might need to ask a broad question, in order to gather people’s perspectives. Or you might have a specific topic. Below are some ideas that you can adapt.
- What is your favorite spot outside?
- What do you like about the facilities?
- What would make your stay more enjoyable in the buildings?
- Think back to when you first arrived. Were the directions and map easy to follow?
- What suggestions do you have for helping people conserve water and electricity?
- What did you learn about riparian habitats, after visiting the restoration area?
