Managing the site and facilities for an outdoor property takes money. Okay, lots of money. Here are some questions you might ask yourself, or discuss with your team:
- Why is it important to share or not share? What are the upsides? Downsides?
- What aspects are shared? Not shared? Who decides?
- Who currently knows the actual costs? Is it only the board, owners, and administration? How about other staff? Guest and participants?
- How do you present the costs in context? In alignment with values and the importance of a quality “place” in alignment with your mission?
- Can the costs be presented succinctly using graphics?
- Who is the key person to answer any questions accurately?
